About the Author

Charles King grew up in Arkansas on a farm. At the University of Arkansas, he studied both philosophy and history. King went on to obtain a asters and doctorate at Oxford. Now, he works at Georgetown University as a professor of government and international affairs. He lives in D.C. with his wife, who is also a writer and anthropologist.
